Can I suspend my membership while I’m overseas?
If you’re going to be overseas for 2 – 36 calendar months suspension may be an option, if you:
- can submit evidence of your travel plans (e.g. e-tickets or itinerary)
- have been a paid-up member for at least 12 months
- pay your premiums up to your departure date
- haven’t suspended your membership (due to overseas travel) in the previous 3 months.
As you’d expect, you won’t be able to make any claims while your membership is suspended.
Please note that if you return before the two-month minimum, your suspension will be cancelled and you’ll be billed for premiums dating back to your initial suspension date.
