An emergency shouldn't cost you
If you find yourself in a medical emergency and need an ambulance to take you to hospital, money is the last thing you want to be worrying about.
Medicare doesn’t cover ambulance costs, so without the right cover you could be expected to pay these fees yourself. It is only in limited circumstances that you may be entitled to free Emergency Ambulance options, which are covered when you’re a concession card holder, or a QLD or TAS resident.
